We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented EVS Aide to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview:

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations. This position plays a vital role in infection prevention and contributes directly to the overall comfort and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, including bathrooms, furniture, floors, and surfaces.

• Make beds and change linens as scheduled or needed.

• Sanitize high-touch areas throughout the facility (e.g., handrails, doorknobs, light switches).

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as dining rooms, lounges, hallways, and nurse stations.

• Properly dispose of trash, recyclables, and biohazard waste following infection control protocols.

• Replenish housekeeping supplies including soap, paper products, and disinfectants.

• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carts.

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor.

• Follow all OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.

• Provide respectful and courteous interactions with residents and staff.

• Assist in laundry services if assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not always required)

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience (especially in healthcare) is preferred

• Knowledge of infection control procedures and use of PPE is preferred
