Process Engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer Duration: Initially 1-year (temp to hire) Schedule: Monday – Thursday from the office, Fridays work from home Location: Houston, TX This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to LNG facility design and project execution within a multidisciplinary engineering environment focused on natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, and low-carbon energy solutions. The role supports safe, efficient and high-quality process engineering across project phases, with involvement in process simulation, engineering design, risk studies and cross-functional collaboration. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering Required Experience 7–10 years of direct and/or relevant experience in LNG engineering, design and operations Strong understanding of LNG processing, handling and safety protocols Experience delivering engineering design across pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering and construction support Experience supporting LNG facility areas including gas pre‑treatment, liquefaction, utilities, import and export terminals, storage, transportation and distribution systems Experience checking and reviewing calculations, process deliverables and vendor‑supplied equipment documentation for compliance with specifications Experience participating in risk and safety analysis studies such as PHA, HAZOP, QRA and LOPA Required Skills Strong capability in process design calculations including mass and energy balances, equipment and line sizing, hydraulic modelling, relief system design, material selection, safety system design and plant area classification Ability to develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment and instrument data sheets, process control narratives and shutdown keys Proficiency with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, ProMAX, Pipeflo and KORF Extensive knowledge of LNG industry regulations, standards and best practices, including LNG OEM licensor technologies such as APCI and ConocoPhillips Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to engineering decisions Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in client‑facing and cross‑functional environments Highly organised approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to complete assigned tasks and solve problems using established guidelines and procedures Capability to provide technical guidance and support to junior and intermediate engineers Preferred Qualifications Working toward or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. in Canada or PE in the United States About Airswift Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
