Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a Sr Deputy Program Manager Engineering - Scrum Master for the Torpedo Systems Group, you will lead agile execution for highly technical multi-discipline teams including facilitation of agile ceremonies and driving agile maturation. You will work closely with Program and Engineering leadership to provide status, develop plans, maintain metrics, and communicate with stakeholders and customers.

• Proven history of technical contributions and understanding of the engineering process (Hardware and Firmware/Software)
• Strong background in Agile Methodologies with preferred experience in Scaled Agile Framework
• Established approaches in data capture and reporting to inform decisions and show status
• Fluency in data presentation tools such as Excel, Power BI, and/or other dashboarding approaches
• Overseeing program technical performance across engineering efforts to ensure requirements are validated, integrated, tested, and verified
• Developing and maintaining engineering plans, risks, and opportunities while adhering to change management processes and GDMS standards
• Managing engineering resources including staff assignments, capital equipment, organizational interfaces, and engineering scope
• Conducting engineering status reviews and providing material for program reviews, including implementing corrective actions
• Providing input to leadership on new business opportunities, internal research and development, or business expansion initiatives

• Staffing and leading project teams in coordination with Senior Engineering Managers and Directors of Engineering
• Managing resolution of technical issues and communicating outcomes to all affected parties and artifacts
• Driving engineering plans, risks, and opportunities while following change management processes
• Contributing to program reviews and implementing effective corrective actions as required
• Identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

• Technical and management credibility demonstrated through past experience in DoD or similar environments
• Experience preparing cost and schedule estimates for design tasks
• Proven success with Agile practices and processes in a DoD setting
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage geographically separated engineering teams
• Experience brokering consensus among diverse stakeholders and organizational interfaces

Salary Note

Combined Salary Range

USD $145,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
