WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Operates Computed Tomography scanning equipment to produce images used to aid in diagnosis of disease and injuries. Confers with patient, explain procedures, and elicits cooperation. Positions patient properly, determines correct protocol according to exam order and diagnosis, and properly uses power injector for contrast injection. Must be proficient in performing body, MSK, Neuro and Cardiac ST scans as well as radiography and C-arm procedures utilizing ALARA principles. Must be registered in Computed Tomography and Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

EQUIPMENT

• GE Revolution Maxima CT scanner including CT fluoroscopy, Siemens Axiom Luminos R/F room, Del Medical retro-fit Carestream DR x-ray room, Carestream DRX portable, AMX 4 Carestream retro-fit DR portable, OEC 9800 C-arm, OEC Elite C-arm, AW Cardiac workstation, Bayer Medrad Dual-Head Power injector, CPSI, and Intelerad PACS

SHIFT

• The tech works on Tuesday and Wednesday at our Mountain Clinic (9:00am - 5:00pm) in Crested Butte at the ski area performing x-rays during the summer and winter seasons and Thursday and Friday at the hospital doing x-ray and CT (9:00am - 9:00pm). They have one night of call on Friday night. During the offseason whenever the ski area is closed. The tech works 3, 12's Wednesday - Friday at the hospital doing x-ray and CT with same night of call. The resort is open June - September for summer and November - first weekend in April for winter ski season. There is free bus transportation from Gunnison to the ski area.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Education: Graduate from an accredited radiology program.
• Experience: Minimum requirement of two years as a Technologist.
• Licenses/Certification: Registry or registry eligible with the A.R.R.T. (R) (CT).
