Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Acute Care

CNA – In-Prison Medical Clinic

Assignment Details:

- Contract Length: 26–52 weeks

Requirements:

• Current, valid CNA/NA license and registration in New York State (limited permit accepted)
• 1 year of experience
• BLS certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including controlled substances.
• Perform vital sign checks and basic physical assessments.
• Provide wound care and manage dressing changes, including Wound VAC experience.
• Participate in emergency responses and rapid response/code teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Compliance / Notes:

• State Criminal History Form required before starting (may take up to 4 weeks).
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
• Flu vaccine status is unknown.
