ROI Medical Records Specialist

To support efficient healthcare operations, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will process release of information requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing excellent customer service in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Completes and processes release of information requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures Validates requests and authorizations, performing quality checks to maintain confidentiality and proper invoicing Maintains a clean and orderly work area while providing proactive customer service and addressing client concerns Required qualifications High School Diploma (GED) required A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred Strong computer software experience, with a general working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Proficient typing skills of at least 50 wpm Ability to use fax, copier, and scanning machines, and willingness to learn new equipment and processes quickly
