What You'll Do

• Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, spinal fluid, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Analyze blood cells, including counting and identifying cellular components via microscopy.
• Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions by performing blood typing and compatibility tests.
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate laboratory equipment including analyzers and spectrophotometers.
• Manage laboratory supplies inventory and ensure resources are used efficiently.
• Generate detailed reports of test results and communicate findings effectively.
• Maintain compliance with QA/QI standards and safety protocols to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Stay current with professional development activities, including workshops and publications.

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license/certification
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting

Preferred:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
