Classification Title:Adjunct - CBIT Part-Time Instructor (Pool)Department:Center for Business & Industry Training (CBIT)Physical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.Job Summary/Basic Function:Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.The Center for Business/Industry Training seeks a dynamic and innovative instructor for a part-time teaching position. Job duties include, but are not limited to:Reports to the Director of CBITTeaches professional development, computer, safety or technical classes (based on expertise) using adult learning theory and alternative delivery methodsCollege benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree in the teaching subject area from a regionally accredited college or university or a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in the subject areaInterest in alternative instructional delivery methodsExcellent written and oral communication skillsOther qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institutionExceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
