Senior Accountant

Our nonprofit client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage core financial operations and support grant compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Manage the general ledger and track unrestricted, temporarily restricted, and permanently restricted net assets Oversee fund accounting and ensure proper allocation of expenses across programs and grants Lead month-end and year-end close processes Support budget development and variance analysis Track grant revenues and expenses to ensure funder compliance Prepare grant reimbursement reports and financial submissions Partner with program teams to monitor spending and timelines Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor relationships Oversee payroll entries and liaise with payroll processors Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation Assist with preparation for the annual audit and Form 990 Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including nonprofit experience Strong knowledge of fund accounting and grant tracking Proficiency with nonprofit accounting systems (QuickBooks Online) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
