Data Engineer

Salary: $65,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience; the detailed description specifies 3–7 years
• Engineering degree
• Citizenship/visa requirement: USC, GC, or H1B

• Develop services for data ingestion and synchronization, enabling near-real-time updates
• Ingest data from multiple sources using Python and other ETL tools
• Design and implement event-driven architectures for real-time data streaming using AWS EventBridge, Kafka, or SNS/SQS
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-premises and AWS cloud environments
• Develop Python scripts and applications with libraries such as pandas and NumPy to process large datasets
• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB to support high-performance data storage and retrieval
• Monitor data workflows and systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability
• Transition existing pipelines to Microsoft SQL Server
• Collaborate with the business application owner on data architecture, ingestion, pipelines, business logic, data consumption, and analytics requirements
• Design and document target data architecture, pipelines, processing, and analytics architecture
• Identify opportunities for optimization and consolidation
• Collaborate with the data team to decompose business logic and define data transformation patterns
