Bilingual Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Angels of Care currently has opportunities for part-time or full-time certified Bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLP). Pay Range $52,200 - $156,000 + $1,000 Sign On Bonus Position Summary A certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays by planning and administering speech therapy services in the home and community. Qualifications ASHA certification Texas State SLP License Current CPR certification Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred Bilingual Spanish preferred; Feeding experience preferred Responsibilities Provide high quality care and meet the needs of the patient and family by performing evaluations and interpreting assessment results; develop goals appropriate to child; create and implement speech therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician. Assist pediatric patients to develop or regain cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing and/or social/emotional functioning and improve their level of independence by implementing skilled interventions to maximize the potential of each individual child. Participate in educating, coaching, and empowering caregivers and families to develop skills to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine. Coordinate with referral partners to provide services for children in accordance with the physician order. Ensure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs. Document patient care services and care coordination in an intuitive electronic medical record system. Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential.
