TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: RNs must be able to titrate various IV drips including but not limited to Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrilin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro. Description: Unit is a 29-bed stepdown telemetry unit specializing in cardiopulmonary care. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac conditions, respiratory failures, post-operative lung surgeries, and post-cardiac catheterization. RNs are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors. Respiratory therapy is available for CPAP and BiPAP management. Charge nurse supervises 24/7; days do not take patient assignments while nights do. Certified nursing assistants are present, ideally 1 CNA per 12 patients. The unit utilizes self-scheduling with schedules made 4-6 weeks in advance. Travelers are required to work every-other weekend. All staff participate in holiday rotation. Floating to other appropriate units may occur but travelers are not prioritized to float. Designated scrub color for RNs is royal blue.
