Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An interim Director of Pharmacy role is available at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in the San Diego area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead pharmacy operations and provide clinical oversight in a specialized care setting. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is anticipated to last 13 weeks, with potential to transition to a permanent role.

- San Diego, CA (El Cajon area)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Provide leadership and direction for pharmacy operations, including staff supervision and workflow management
- Oversee medication distribution and inventory control
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Utilize RX Connect pharmacy management software for operational and clinical activities
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California pharmacist license
- Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy in California, ideally within a long-term care or acute care setting
- Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and best practices
- Ability to lead and mentor pharmacy staff effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
