A Cashier is always polite, flexible, and accommodating. The Cashier should be knowledgeable about the company and what it offers to guests. In addition, they are familiar with special Dealer events and listen to the requests made by guests, offering solutions or recommendations tailored to their needs. Louisville Honda World Job Description Job Title: Cashier Department: Service Reports To: Service Managers Responsibilities Greets all customers entering the Waiting Lobby area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs/takes them to the appropriate person or location. Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual. Maintains a clean and tidy Customer Lounge, straightens newspapers and magazines, and maintains Coffee/Refreshment area with necessary supplies/condiments. Cleans up any spills and runs vacuum cleaner as necessary. Monitors TVs and changes channels as necessary to appropriate viewing content. Engages conversation with customers to see that they are comfortable and that their needs are being met, always asking if they are completely satisfied and that their Advisors are taking care of and updating them regarding the progress of their vehicle repairs. Greets customers at the cashier desk in a pleasant and professional manner. Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received. Makes change and issues receipts to customers. Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
