Senior Staff Product Designer

Intuit Credit Karma is hiring a Senior Staff Product Designer in Oakland, CA (onsite) to lead end-to-end customer experience design across personal finance and money management products. Responsibilities Lead design initiatives for Intuit Credit Karma engagement features, shaping the member journey and product vision. Translate complex financial concepts into experiences that are simple, accessible, and engaging. Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance member needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Use research and data to inform design choices, test hypotheses, and continuously refine solutions. Advocate for design excellence and accessibility, ensuring touchpoints reflect Credit Karma's brand and values. Contribute to and extend design systems to support consistency and scalability across products. Work on scalable platform solutions with velocity and rigor by leveraging and contributing to the Intuit design system and innovating with new and existing tech capabilities. Lead delivery of high-level frameworks to understand the problem space, detailed design specifications for end-to-end initiatives, and ideal state prototypes. Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile, optimizing among user needs, business goals, and technological realities. Drive cross-platform designs with a mobile-first focus to deliver best-in-class customer experiences. Leverage customer insights and data to ground design decisions in customer empathy and real user needs. Mentor and guide other designers to elevate design practice across the Credit Karma team. Drive design strategies, frameworks, principles, and designs across a broad range of projects to accelerate large initiatives and align stakeholders across teams and business units. Bring a bold vision and design strategy across multiple areas in the ecosystem, connecting dots across strategies and initiatives for the largest impact. Act as a lighthouse for identifying and executing high-impact growth design work and setting a gold standard across the Product organization. Provide mentorship and thought leadership to cultivate a culture of high velocity, experimentation, bias for action, and shared learnings. Partner with product management and engineering to define strategy, identify opportunities, and deliver experiences that drive measurable impact. Operate with autonomy while partnering with stakeholders across Design, Development, Product Management, Data/Analytics, and Service Design. Use strong storytelling to visualize ideas and concepts for internal leaders, partners, and customers. Apply facilitative leadership to drive decisions toward the best outcome for stakeholders and inspire collaboration. Requirements 10+ years of UX/UI/Product design experience, including at least 2 years in a staff or senior staff-level role. Significant experience in mobile app design. Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design and the ability to tackle ambiguous problems. Exceptional visual, interaction, and systems design skills with strong attention to detail. Deep understanding of human-centered design, accessibility, and usability principles. Expert knowledge using user-centered design processes in collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, user research). Deep knowledge of UX methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing, and design principles. Familiarity with mobile design guidelines and best practices, including Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design. Proven track record shipping impactful consumer-facing digital products, ideally in fintech, banking, or financial wellness, with a track record in mobile product development. Ability to influence at multiple organization levels while balancing business needs with member advocacy. Proven track record setting a vision for great customer experiences and delivering products known for delightful, easy‑to‑use experiences. Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and research. Strong communication skills to present and rationalize design decisions clearly. Facilitative leadership skills that build positive, collaborative relationships and raise the bar as an effective leader of positive change. May be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits based on applicable plans and programs. Pay range for this position (Oakland): USD 203,000 - 274,500 per year. Pay range for this position (Mountain View, CA): USD 203,000 - 274,500 per year. Base pay offered depends on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
