Production Supervisor

Primary Pack Supervisor

The Primary Pack Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by communicating directly and frequently with the customer, assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for employee coaching, counseling, timecard and attendance tracker management.

This is an on-site role - West Jefferson, Ohio

Must be flexible during training and start-up – will require extended hours up to 7 days a week. Regular schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM - 3:30PM with extended hours as needed.

Key responsibilities include promoting a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers; following established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current; providing 100% customer satisfaction; building a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates; helping maintain attendance and tardiness records; monitoring daily compliance with safety procedures; investigating accidents and preparing reports; providing on-the-job coaching and training needed to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels; helping coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers, complaints and associate concerns productivity and quality of work; and maintaining proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food grade warehouse.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college level study is required, 2+ years experience in a supervisor production/manufacturing role, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, bi-lingual, Spanish speaking a plus, Microsoft Office Suites experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, Lean six sigma experience a plus, Food Grade packaging a plus, Inventory experience a plus, Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus.
