As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout exhibit, collection, office, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support the protection of valuable collections, property, and personnel. Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have access control and badge experience, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
