Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Proficient in computer applications
• Exceptional customer service skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in interventional radiology
• Background in critical care

Certifications and Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or a compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Certification in Vascular Access

Scheduling Requirements

• Day shift, 40 hours per week
• Full-time position
• Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends and holiday rotations
• On-call duties required

Essential Functions

The Professional Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical team, adhering to the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. This role involves implementing the hospital's mission and objectives through established policies and performance improvement initiatives. The nurse will provide individualized, age-appropriate care to patients within their assigned unit, utilizing knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and address each patient's specific needs. Responsibilities include:

• Managing clinical quality outcomes for specific patient populations
• Maintaining necessary documentation and statistical data for reporting
• Assisting in the development and adherence to clinical pathways and quality improvement activities
• Monitoring trends in clinical services and outcomes
• Serving as a resource and mentor for staff within the Interventional Radiology Department

Other Duties

The RN will provide patient care in the Radiology Department for both diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes utilizing assessment techniques, teaching, and evaluation to gauge the effectiveness of care, documenting patient responses as necessary, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Understanding growth and development principles will be essential for assessing and addressing each patient’s unique needs.
