Job Title: Food Packaging Associate
Pay: $18.00/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Food Packaging Associate, you'll be responsible for operating equipment, inspecting products, and ensuring smooth, efficient production. You'll collaborate closely with line leads and machine operators to maintain safety, quality standards, and production flow every day.


What You'll Do
As a Food Packaging Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Operating, monitoring, and feeding packaging machinery such as baggers, sealers, labelers, scales, and case packers for various food products.
• Performing visual quality checks on raw ingredients and finished goods, including packaging integrity, lot codes, and weights.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation adhering to GMP, USDA/FDA guidelines, and safety policies.
• Loading bulk products into hoppers, assembling and taping boxes, and stacking finished pallets for shipment.
• Recording accurate production logs, weight checks, lot numbers, and scrap data throughout your shift.
• Communicating effectively with team members to keep production running smoothly and resolve minor equipment issues promptly.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing, packaging, assembly line work, or warehouse settings is preferred (entry-level candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply!).
• Strong attention to detail, good math and reading skills, and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach continuously for 8-10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and maintain manual dexterity.
• Willingness to follow strict hygiene and safety policies, including wearing PPE like hairnets, beard nets, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
• Experience with automated packaging equipment, food safety standards (HACCP, SQF), or forklift certification is a plus!

Location & Schedule:
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position on-site in Scio, OR, offering Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shifts.
