About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Location

Charleston, WV | Short Term Acute Care / Level IV Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekend rotation | Float as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across Critical Care and General Care settings for adult and pediatric patient populations
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities
• Utilize Cerner for electronic charting and documentation
• Participate in weekend rotation as required by scheduling needs
• Adhere to facility scheduling policies, including submitting time-off requests at least two weeks prior to the next schedule for manager approval

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT credential required
• Valid West Virginia state license or Compact license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Some pediatric and/or NICU experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through AHA required
• PALS and NALS certifications required for pediatric cases (AHA-issued)
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from within the past 2 years required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a major teaching hospital or Level IV Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience floating across multiple units or care settings
