Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients with various conditions including CHF, dysrhythmia, and more
• Administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, and manage IV lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, RTs, and intensivists
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC, and Alaris IV pumps for patient care documentation

Requirements of the RN - PCU

• Minimum of 18 months experience in a PCU setting
• Valid RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience with traches, cardiac gtt, and chest tubes
