Job Summary Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of license. Key Details Location: O'Fallon, IL Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (No weekends or holidays) Worker Type: Regular Employee Pay Range: $20.11 – $32.18 per hour Job Responsibilities Contribute to patient assessment and ensure patient well‑being Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services Educate patients/families about disease treatment plans, self‑care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow‑up care Document provider’s encounter with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, discharge/follow‑up instructions, and prescriptions Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications Complete patient charts by transcribing results of labs, x‑rays, or other evaluations Continuously check the progress of data availability for orders to ensure the provider can make treatment decisions Transcribe consultations or discussions with family and/or the patient's private physician or the on‑call physician Work in a constant state of alertness and maintain a safe environment Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing. No experience required. Physical Requirements Constant use of speech to share information; constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling of objects weighing 0–25 lbs; frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use, and data entry; frequent use of vision for distances up to 20 inches (near) and 20 feet (far) and to identify and distinguish colors; frequent use of smell for odor detection; frequent use of hearing for oral communication and alarm detection; occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling of objects weighing 25–50 lbs; occasional patient movements and driving; rare crawling and running.
