Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician / Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. In this role, you ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and help maintain a safe, efficient production environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical production equipment to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing machinery.
- Diagnose issues involving motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical and mechanical equipment as needed to support production requirements.
- Complete accurate maintenance documentation and work orders in a timely manner.
- Support production teams during equipment failures, planned shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Follow all safety requirements, including proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.
- Proven experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting in industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree in a related field or maintenance certification.
- Industrial electrician license.
- PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Automation Direct platforms.
- Basic PLC programming and exposure to industrial automation systems.
- Experience with motor controls and VFDs across 480V, 240V, and 120V electrical systems.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and best practices.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills for repair and modification of equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as building materials, steel, wood products, food processing, paper, or other heavy industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with conveyors and related material handling equipment.

Work Environment
You work in an industrial manufacturing facility with a fast-paced production environment and a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality. The role involves exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving machinery, with work performed both indoors and outdoors depending on equipment location. You can expect frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting, including the ability to lift up to 5075 pounds. Rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime may be required to support production demands. You operate within a team-oriented culture that emphasizes safe work practices and collaboration to keep equipment and processes running efficiently.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64688.00 - $67059.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
