POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Tech Multi-Modality is responsible for the day-to-day operations and efficiency of the DI department. The Lead Tech Multi-Modality is responsible for staffing, budget reconciliation, equipment service and acquisition, training of personnel and adhering to quality practices according to department needs. The Lead must have knowledge of all areas and systems within the DI Department. Must collaborate with other departments and health team members throughout the organization with the patient's best interest and safety in mind. The Lead Tech - Multi-Modality performs examinations according to the currently accepted practices of the ARDMS and/or ARRT and Northwest Texas Healthcare System as well as prepare technical reports, exam rooms, equipment and supplies for procedures.

Job Duties:

• Performs patient care, assists radiologist and other physicians.
• Demonstrates Multi-Modality skills and demonstrates good patient care.
• Utilizes leadership skills in supervising staff and students, providing feedback concerning performance.
• Demonstrates professionalism with good communication and problem solving skills.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees.
• Assesses risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precaution.
• Complies with appropriate and approved standards.
