Billing Clerk (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Laredo, TX

• Pay: $19.44 per hour
• Job Type: Full-Time | 90-Day Contract-to-Hire

 
We're looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join a busy accounting team in Laredo. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong data entry, Excel, and mathematical skills who enjoys working with accuracy and attention to detail. Successful contractors may have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position after 90 days based on performance and business needs.

 
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Review sales orders and related bills of lading for accuracy before processing invoices
• Verify mathematical calculations and ensure all billing information is complete and correct
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, including pricing errors and incorrect or missing information
• Generate accurate, itemized customer invoices
• Enter and maintain data with a high degree of accuracy
• Communicate with internal departments to clarify billing questions and resolve issues
• Maintain organized records and documentation

 
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Previous experience in billing, accounting support, data entry, or an administrative role is preferred
• Experience with Sage 100 is a plus but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent data entry and mathematical abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Clear, legible handwriting and the ability to maintain accurate training notes
