Transportation ManagerWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on Transportation Manager to lead our transportation operations in Brockway, PA. This role is responsible for the onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of approximately 15 direct reports, including drivers and helpers. The Transportation Manager will build and maintain positive relationships with front-line employees and spend the majority of their time in the field supporting daily operations, providing coaching, and ensuring safe, efficient route execution.The operation consists of 26 daily routes utilizing primarily Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, compliance, employee engagement, and customer service standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with responsibility for opening the operation two days per week at 4:00 AM, while the remaining days typically begin around 7:00 AM.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsuring new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback for successful daily dutiesMeet with new frontline employees daily to ensure consistent communication and support of onboardingProvide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees.Regular review of best practices to enhance daily performanceFocus on understanding and progress of frontline employee career goalsIdentify and address improvement opportunities and collaborate with frontline employees to ensure continued successActively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations.Lead by example to ensure safety practices are paramount with each employee andTeaching and developing an understanding of the WM WayConducts Root Cause Investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and retraining.Documents and maintains records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation.Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations daily (e.g., DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up where appropriate.Visits customers and customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues, seeking service alternatives where appropriate.Qualifications A. Required QualificationsAssociate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree,High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.Must be at least 18 years of age andLegally eligible to work in the country where the position is locatedDriver's License Valid Driver's License Upon HireB.
