Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Whitney Hall SchoolHamden, CT | Full-Time | ExemptShape brighter futures through behavioral supportThe Children's Center of Hamden is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students within Whitney Hall School and behavioral programs across the Agency. In this role, you'll provide evidence-based behavioral consultation, assessment, treatment planning, staff coaching, and data-driven intervention to support students and youth with social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. On one of our medical plan options, The Children's Center covers 90% of the employee premium and contributes to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), making quality healthcare affordable and accessible.Generous paid time off – Sick, personal time, and school breaks so you can recharge and maintain balance.Supportive, mission-driven culture – Join a team committed to trauma-informed care, positive behavioral supports, student growth, and meaningful outcomes.Sign-on bonus – New team member will receive a sign on bonus of $2,000What you'll doAs a BCBA, you will:Conduct functional behavioral assessments, observations, and data reviews.Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans, treatment plans, and crisis/safety plans.Assess students and youth across school and Agency programs to support consistent behavioral recommendations.Analyze behavioral data and modify interventions to improve outcomes.Train, coach, and support staff in implementing behavioral strategies and data collection procedures.Participate in the IEP/PPT process by contributing behavioral recommendations, goals, accommodations, and supports.Collaborate with school administration, program leadership, clinical staff, families, and outside providers.Support staff in responding to challenging behaviors using trauma-informed, evidence-based, and least-restrictive interventions.Maintain required documentation and participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.Perform other related duties as assigned.What we're looking forCurrent BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required. Current Connecticut Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential preferred.Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation services required.Experience in educational and/or residential treatment settings preferred.Physical & work environment requirementsAbility to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.Ability to respond to behavioral crises and utilize approved crisis intervention techniques when necessary.Ability to perform repetitive motions, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities required to support students and program operations.Potential exposure to bodily fluids, waste, allergenic conditions, and other environmental hazards common in educational and behavioral health settings.Join our teamIf you're passionate about evidence-based behavioral support, staff coaching, and helping students and youth with diverse needs build skills for successful futures, we'd love to hear from you.The Children's Center of Hamden is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
