Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown setting with a focus on cardiothoracic and transplant populations
• Manage and monitor patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), including HeartMate 3
• Oversee care for patients post-CABG, coronary bypass, valve replacement, and TAVR procedures
• Administer and manage heart failure and transplant medications, including those related to heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplants
• Monitor and manage cardiac arrhythmias in accordance with established clinical protocols
• Float to ICU as needed to support unit staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN Licensure
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
• Experience with VAD management, specifically HeartMate 3
• Cardiothoracic nursing experience including CABG, coronary bypass, valve replacement, and TAVR
• Experience with heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplant patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience floating to or working in an ICU environment
• Strong working knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and management
• Familiarity with complex transplant medication regimens
