Permanent Medical Director Hospitalist - Pediatric
\n Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatric
Location: Athens, OH
Shift: 24/7 on-call coverage; round-and-go model with call from home; approximately 7 shifts per month
Patient Population: Pediatric patients and newborns
Setting: Newborn nursery, pediatric hospitalist service, and Emergency Department consultations
Responsibilities: Lead a team of Pediatric Hospitalists; provide newborn nursery care; provide pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department; collaborate with Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists; participate in CQI and clinical research; perform circumcisions.
Required Procedures: Circumcisions
Support Staff: Team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists and Pediatrix Neonatologists providing NICU support
Days Per Month: Approximately 7 shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24/7 on-call coverage with call from home; round-and-go model Submission Requirements:
\n - Board Certified in Pediatrics and Ohio license or willingness to obtain
\n - Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days
\n - DEA required prior to start; visa support requirements must be noted
