Insight Global is hiring Data Center Deployment Technicians to support large hyperscale data center buildouts in Ellendale, ND . In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside a specialized Tiger Team to deploy critical infrastructure, performing rack-and-stack, cabling, hardware installation, equipment staging, inventory management, and large-scale data center build activities. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-impact team helping bring next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure online.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $25.00-$35.00/hr for Technicians
• $35.00-$45.00/hr for Leads
• Expect 10+ hours of OT each week, paid at 1.5x your standard rate .
• If you're traveling from outside a 50-mile radius, the  client will provide travel, housing/lodging, and meal reimbursements .

Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: Typically, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Expected Weekly Hours: 50-60+ hours

Key Responsibilities

• Decommissioning & Deployments:  Remove, replace, and upgrade network and server hardware as needed.   Support equipment migrations and refresh efforts.
• Racking & Mounting:  Lift, position, and secure servers, network equipment, firewalls, and Power Distribution Units (PDUs) into racks and cabinets.
• Cabling & Routing:  Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber optic cabling.   Follow structured cabling standards and cable management best practices to maintain airflow and organization.
• Labeling & Documentation:  Label ports, cables, hardware, and equipment accurately.   Update asset inventories, tracking systems, and project documentation.
• Hardware Testing & Troubleshooting:  Power on devices and perform basic hardware diagnostics.   Verify network connectivity, power connectivity, and equipment functionality.
• Inventory Control:  Receive, unbox, organize, and deploy equipment while supporting cabinet installation and hardware placement in accordance with rack elevation drawings and deployment standards.
• Quality Assurance: Support QA/QC inspections, deployment audits, and project documentation to ensure build quality and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with data center deployments, rack-and-stack, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or hardware installation.
• Ability to lift, move, and install data center equipment while following site safety standards.
• Must be able to pass a background check (no felonies or violent misdemeanors within the last 7 years).
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, including THC .
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel and stay on-site for up to 3 weeks at a time . Typical rotations include 2-3 weeks on-site followed by 2-4 weeks at home .
