MRO Quality Engineer

Location: West Chester, OH

Pay: $80k-$100k/yr

Job Description:

The MRO Quality Engineer reviews engine components, repair procedures, and quality requirements to ensure repairs meet engineering, customer, and regulatory standards. This role works closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Contracts teams to support safe, compliant, and on-time delivery of aerospace products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect engine components and evaluate parts for repair, overhaul, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Review and approve written and illustrated repair plans, bills of material, and outside purchase specifications against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Provide technical training, guidance, and support to Quality Control Inspectors.
• Participate in quality and engineering reviews of discrepant parts, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate new and existing business requirements with Production, Contracts, and Engineering teams.
• Support Production in resolving quality issues and maintaining on-time delivery to customers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in aerospace/aviation engineering, preferably within an MRO, Part 145 repair station, or aviation inspection/mechanic environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and familiarity with GE/CFM Engine Shop Manuals and Standard Practices preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• A&P License, FAA Repairman Certificate, airline/MRO experience, technical writing, manufacturing/fabrication, or CMM experience is highly preferred.
