Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care
This position offers 12-hour night shifts, with weekends and holidays scheduled as needed.
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team in the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PICU/NICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a critical care setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care treatments including aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton, and Servo ventilators.
- Perform airway management and facilitate intrahospital transport of patients.
- Carry out all aspects of respiratory care and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Assist in the intubation process as needed, while primarily supporting medical staff during procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 4 NICU or PICU environment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is acceptable.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
