Local CDL Delivery Driver

Position Overview Job ID: R10092316 - Local CDL Delivery Driver (Open) Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Branch) - Retail shop Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver to operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle, deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes, collect empty cylinders, and provide excellent customer service. Schedule Monday through Friday, with possible alternating weekend on calls. Full-time consistent scheduling. Responsibilities Be a Customer Ambassador: serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling orders, resolving complaints, and building relationships. Safety and Efficiency: load, transport and unload products from a straight or box truck in accordance with all DOT and company regulations. Maintain Your Vehicle: perform routine maintenance checks and keep the truck clean and ready for daily routes. Handle hazardous cargo: safely handle and deliver products, routinely lifting 25‑75 lbs and up to 125+ lbs with material handling equipment, while frequently bending, walking, standing and driving up to 8 hours a day. Conduct pre/post‑trip checks, record transactions, obtain signatures and address customer inquiries. Qualifications At least one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience verifiable under DOT requirements within the past 5 years or recent graduate of an accredited driving school. Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain Hazmat upon offer. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and minimum age 21. Excellent customer service skills and proactive attitude. Physical capability to perform required lifting and operations. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and read/comprehend material safety data sheets.
