Lead Carpenter-Residential Remodeling

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen – Northwest DC Lead Carpenter – Residential Remodeling Location: Washington, DC (projects across DC, MD, and Northern VA) About the Role DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Northwest DC is hiring a Lead Carpenter to oversee residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for both hands‑on construction work and coordinating day‑to‑day activity on‑site. Projects include kitchen, bathroom, and whole‑home renovations in occupied residences throughout the DC metro area. What You’ll Do Manage daily job site operations and ensure work progresses according to schedule and scope. Serve as the on‑site liaison between homeowners, subcontractors, and internal leadership. Execute skilled carpentry and remodeling work, including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, tile, flooring, and fixture installation. Coordinate subcontractors and verify work quality and sequencing. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, especially in occupied homes. Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution. Track project updates, photos, and notes using JobTread or similar tools. Identify issues early and communicate solutions to management. Support and guide less experienced team members. What We’re Looking For Strong background in residential remodeling and carpentry. Experience leading projects or crews on‑site. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Comfortable working in occupied homes; historic renovation experience is a plus. Ability to read and follow construction plans. Solid communication skills with clients and team members. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Physically able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
