About the work

Picture your day starting at 6:30 AM in our New Port Richey, FL laboratories. You check the job order, scan the Safety Data Sheet, and move from bench to bench selecting the right gear to execute a test plan you refined with our engineers. By 3:00 PM, you’ve helped advance critical filtration and separation technologies that touch everything from aircraft to smartphones—sometimes with overtime or a flexible schedule when projects demand it. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager, Laboratory Services and be the technical backbone for our instruments and related systems.

What you’ll do

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and connected systems; partner with engineers to develop and refine test procedures.
• Interpret job orders and SDS in line with SOPs, choose appropriate test equipment, and verify calculations using basic math and statistics.
• Set up and execute testing on complete units and subassemblies under operating conditions, including flow, pressure, temperature, vibration, endurance, and impulse testing.
• Provide electrical support (e.g., fabricate cables) and conduct testing on hydraulic manifolds, liquid filters, and air products.
• Carry out analytical work for R&D qualifications and external customer projects—microscopy, materials science, and chemistry—covering fluid sample and filter element analyses, filterability studies, and fluid property testing.

What you bring

• High school diploma/equivalent and 5+ years of qualification testing experience across multiple aerospace products; or an Associate’s in Aerospace Maintenance, Electrical, Power Plant, or Petroleum Repair from an accredited institution.
• Hands-on background with air/fluid mechanical systems, electronic controls, process automation, and data acquisition.
• Strength in reading complex specifications/procedures, diagnosing issues with root cause analysis, and proposing sound alternatives.

Bonus skills

• Data acquisition and control systems (National Instruments LabVIEW preferred).
• Mechanical design principles for safe fixture and test setup design/fabrication.

Location & schedule

Onsite in New Port Richey, FL. Typical hours Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Overtime and flexible scheduling are routine based on demand.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
