Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Largo, Maryland. This role requires delivering high-quality emergency care within a Level II Trauma Center environment. Candidates must bring their RN license and pertinent certifications on the first day. The assignment begins on July 27, 2026, and involves working nights exclusively, with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Location: Largo, Maryland
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (19:30-08:00)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Specialized Skills: Proficiency in managing abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial lines, asthma, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, IV paralytics and sedation, stroke, trauma, respiratory illnesses, and more.
• Certifications: Active Maryland RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (Calm Every Storm online vendor), NCCT, and NRP or AAP preferred.
• Experience Requirements: 3 years of ER experience, including trauma Level II experience; travel experience preferred but will consider first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience and previous hospital trauma environment experience.
• EMR System: Epic charting system experience required.
• Additional Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience preferred; one year of community hospital ER experience is advantageous.
• Patient Ratios: 4 patients per nurse during day and night shifts, with the flexibility to work up to 5 patients with lower acuity.
• Float Requirement: Candidates must be comfortable floating within their scope of practice as needed.
• Community Hospital & Trauma Experience: Preferred with Level I trauma experience being advantageous.
• Travel: Yes, travel experience required; candidates must confirm they are comfortable with floating and scheduling requests, including potential RTO days.
• Additional Operational Details: Must have completed all onboarding compliance within 5 days of start, including labs. Schedule requests cannot be guaranteed.
