Data Engineer Data Science/Big DataRichmond, Virginia Contract Aug 13, 2026Data Visualization Specialist | Location: Off-Site | Contract | Hourly Pay Range $41-$79Join a fast-paced Agile team as a Data Visualization Specialist, turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that support better business decisions. In this role, you'll build impactful dashboards and reports, partner closely with business and technical stakeholders, and help strengthen data quality across multiple sources and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate metrics, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations primarily using TableauBuild intuitive dashboards that clearly communicate trends, insights, and business performanceDevelop visual analytics using additional BI platforms such as Power BI, QuickSight, Looker, or similar toolsAnalyze, extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems to support reporting and visualization needsTranslate business requirements into technical requirements and deliver end-to-end data visualization solutionsPartner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and evaluate new technologiesImprove data quality by developing monitoring tools, identifying issues, and creating alertsContribute to web/UI development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSSLead dashboard demonstrations and create training materials and documentationPromote consistent processes and procedures across the organizationStay current on emerging data visualization technologies and best practicesRequired QualificationsHands-on experience with Tableau and/or other BI tools such as Power BI or QuickSightExperience building dashboards and visualizations that communicate data clearly and tell a cohesive storyExperience extracting, cleansing, combining, and working with data from multiple sourcesExperience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for UI/web developmentStrong understanding of data visualization and information design principlesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with a self-starter mindsetAbility to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholdersPortfolio demonstrating previous data visualization, dashboard, or analytics projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience with additional BI and visualization platforms such as QuickSight, Looker, or similar toolsAbout Delphi-US - Peacemakers in the Talent War Delphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.
