Job Title: RN Cardiac ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Care ICU Duration: Not specified Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7A-7P) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within specialty License: Required nursing license Certifications: Required AHA BLS & ACLS; Preferred CCRN, NIH certification Must-Have: Recent experience in a cardiac ICU setting Description: The position involves providing care for patients requiring various open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The unit is highly specialized with 20 beds. Special equipment utilized includes intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers. Holiday expectations include working 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
