Of Counsel - Litigation (San Diego)

Overview

Nelson Mullins is seeking an attorney to join its litigation team in San Diego. The role may be located in San Diego, Torrance, or Downtown Los Angeles. As an AmLaw60 law firm, this position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing location and to join a tenured team.

Responsibilities

The attorney will work with a team of trial lawyers and litigators in San Diego who practice in complex litigation, product liability defense (including knowledge of the Song‑Beverly Act), pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and class action litigation. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing pleadings and discovery, managing document production, preparing for and defending depositions, arguing discovery and other motions, and adept case management. The role requires participation in jury trials and state and federal court work across various jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of meaningful litigation experience in complex litigation, class action, and product liability.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and arguing motions.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Adventurous entrepreneurial spirit and experience with case management.
• Excellent academic credentials and admission to the California Bar in good standing.

Compensation

San Diego, California pay range: $200,000 - $250,000, with the final offer dependent on experience.
