About the Position

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Sterile Processing Technician responsible for cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
2. Knowledgeable in decontamination and cleaning methods, ensuring proper removal of bio-burden.
3. Skilled in preparing and assembling general and specialty instrument sets for effective sterilization.
4. Familiar with sterilization processes, documentation, and mechanical/chemical indicators.
5. Proficient in using the instrument tracking system for accurate record-keeping.
6. Follows infection control guidelines during handling and transportation of sterile packages.
7. Prepares and dispatches surgical cases, ensuring the right supplies are delivered to the operating room.

Requirements

Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED.
-2+ years of experience in a sterile processing environment.
-Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
-Knowledge of medical terminology
