Case Manager (VA Disability Law)

You will work closely with our legal team, leveraging our 27+ years of experience to help navigate veterans through the claims and appeals process. What You’ll Learn & Do System Mastery: Receive hands-on training to navigate the VA disability benefits system and internal case management software. File Management: Master the art of gathering, organizing, and tracking medical and military service records for veteran clients. Client Advocacy: Serve as a primary point of contact, providing empathetic and clear updates to veterans and their families. Deadline Management: Ensure all filings, evidence submissions, and appeals are tracked and submitted within strict federal windows. Administrative Support: Assist attorneys in preparing case files for hearings and drafting foundational correspondence. Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in an office/professional setting. Experience: Prior legal experience 1-2 years preferred, proficient in medical terminology, with an ability to review and understand medical documentation. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and a quick ability to learn new software. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; you must be comfortable speaking with veterans daily, and an ability to identify and relay process improvement ideas.
