About the Position

Job Title

Multimodality Technologist – CT / X-Ray

Location

Charleston, SC | Acute Care (Teaching Hospital – Level 1 Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating 3x12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic imaging in both X-ray and CT modalities within a high-volume acute care environment
• Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients and ensure competency in all procedures performed
• Produce diagnostic images for interpretation and/or at the request of a licensed practitioner
• Float to like units within scope as needed to support facility staffing requirements
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a multimodality technologist (first-time travelers considered but not preferred)
• Active ARRT registration in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
• SCRQSA certification required
• BLS required
• ACLS required (pending ACLS accepted if obtained within 2–3 weeks of hire)
• Radiation badge must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to assignment start — the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic imaging in both X-ray and CT modalities
• Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and PACS
