Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown / Cardiovascular Care (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed cardiovascular care unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Care for patients presenting with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule-out, CHF, noninvasive ventilation needs, and peripheral vascular compromise
• Administer and monitor antiarrhythmic IV medications and support post-cardiothoracic surgery patients transitioning from the ICU
• Float to Med/Surg or the Emergency Department to accommodate CVCU and Med/Surg holds as needed
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling; no block scheduling is available for this assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Stepdown Unit (SDU) experience required
• Active Oklahoma RN license required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg or the Emergency Department as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patient populations
• Familiarity with noninvasive ventilation management in a stepdown setting
