Benefits Competitive salary Dental insurance Flexible schedule Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) Health insurance Small Engine Mechanic / Shop Foreman – Full-Time Location: Summerville, SC Schedule: Monday–Friday, Flexible Hours (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM) Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Small Engine Mechanic / Shop Foreman to join our team in Summerville. In this role, you will maintain and manage our fleet, shop operations, and small engine equipment to keep our field operations running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Oversee shop operations, fleet, and equipment maintenance Perform preventive and routine maintenance on small engines, lawn care machinery, and company vehicles Handle occasional on-site/roadside equipment and vehicle repairs Maintain accurate service and maintenance records Ensure all vehicles requiring DOT inspections are up to date Manage and track shop inventory and parts ordering Ensure shop safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness Required Qualifications Valid Driver’s License Applicants with a South Carolina driver’s license are preferred to bring their driving record Applicants with an out-of-state license must provide their driving record at the time of the scheduled interview Minimum of 3 years of experience in small engine or vehicle servicing Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability A demonstrated work ethic and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications ASE Certification (light or medium-duty trucks – gas and diesel) Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection requirements Ability to maintain parts inventory and order supplies Experience working with chemicals and pumping systems Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Coachable mindset and willingness to grow Must be able to provide personal tools Customer service experience is a plus What We’re Looking For Is reliable and punctual Is willing to help teammates when needed Demonstrates respectful communication with coworkers and vendors Takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and functional equipment Is open to feedback and eager to improve in their role Job Details Full-Time (Monday–Friday) 8-hour shifts with flexible scheduling (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM) Competitive compensation based on experience Supportive team culture with opportunities for growth Compensation: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lawn Doctor
