About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Dean of Students for Leadership and Involvement to take on a pivotal role in shaping the student experience. The successful candidate will be the inaugural leader of the newly established Center for Leadership and Involvement, with a focus on fostering connection, belonging, and pride through a range of student engagement programs. This includes overseeing student organizations, leadership development initiatives, orientation and transition programs, family engagement, and cultural arts programming. The role demands a strategic leader who can establish a long-term vision for student engagement, advise senior university leadership, and ensure that all programs are inclusive, student-centered, and aligned with best practices in student development. Applicants for the Assistant Dean position should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's or doctorate preferred, and a proven track record of progressive leadership in higher education student affairs. The role requires experience in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and a commitment to fostering belonging for a diverse student population. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, faculty, and campus partners. Operational leadership experience, including budget oversight and resource management, is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively across various campus divisions.
