Position Highlights Daytime, Monday - Friday Be a part of a collaborative and comprehensive health care team 100% of patients will have a WellMed employed, contracted or affiliated PCP Our model is designed to provide the most efficient, comprehensive, and proven care techniques to treat the whole patient – physically, mentally, and socially Quality vs. Quantity Model – Typically census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day Patient panel is limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage Bonus incentives are based on quality metrics What makes an Optum Care organization different? No matter where you want to go – geographically or professionally – you can do it here Compensation/Benefits Highlights Base Salary plus Annual Quality Incentive Optum Care Advanced Provider Clinician Partnership Plan 401k with match and UHG Employee Stock Purchase Program Comprehensive Benefits from Optum Partner Services Required Qualifications Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Additional Acute Care Certification is required Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare‑aged patient population Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency A working understanding and support of a managed care environment Compensation Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 to $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
