Production Mixer - Food Manufacturing Plant (1st Shift)

Shift & Compensation 3:00 AM – 3:00 PM (1st Shift). Hiring for Day Shift and Night Shift. Wage: $19.45 per hour. Location Aurora, CO. Opportunity Overview This position is for a Mixer in our food manufacturing facility that partners with iconic chains to produce a range of desserts. Responsibilities Accumulate all pre‑approved ingredients from production bins. Document materials, lot codes, batch tickets, and waste logs accurately. Ensure proper storage of materials per formula and build sheets. Monitor temperatures of materials as required. Maintain mixing bowls and carts free from excess material and clean between mixes. Perform housekeeping and dispose of mixing material in approved containers. Ensure mixes are free of foreign objects. Report unsanitary conditions before equipment use. Maintain sanitary and clean conditions throughout the shift. Return utensils checked out daily at shift end. Follow safe lifting and carrying instructions; request assistance when needed. Identify and report defective equipment. Escalate issues leading to overuse of material. Cover and store materials to prevent contamination. Operate mixer equipment safely and follow approved procedures. Report quality problems to Supervisor, Production Manager, or Quality technician. Understand and follow the company’s food allergen program. Follow approved formula and obtain written approval from R&D for any changes. Comply with Steven Charles product quality standards, policies, and procedures. Participate in the Steven Charles Operations team. Be familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 6 months experience in a food manufacturing environment; bakery experience preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and short correspondence. Good communication skills in English; written correspondence. Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to leads, supervisors, and R&D. Flexibility to work various hours and shifts. Required Skills Mathematical skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
