Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy ER, including rapid assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring of acute and emergent conditions
- Administer prescribed medications, start IV access, and perform procedures as within scope
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate timely patient care and disposition
- Monitor and respond to deteriorating patient conditions, initiate emergency protocols when needed, and support handoffs at shift change

Requirements
- Active New York RN license or proof of application with applied date; NY licensing normally takes 6–8 weeks
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC equivalency), TNCC, NIHSS required; TNCC must be active or proof of class prior to start; NIHSS required prior to starting
- 1 year minimum ER or specialty nursing experience; prior travel experience preferred; charge experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and to cover the unit as needed; schedule may include every-other-weekend obligations and holiday coverage
- NY license or active application documented at submission
- Reliable transportation is required; public transportation is not available in the area; personal or rental vehicle recommended with weather-appropriate tires (snow tires November–April)
