$55k - $70kFlock
Who is Flock? Every community deserves to be safe, it is a fundamental right. Our mission is simple – to build technology that reduces crime and protects privacy. Flock partners with cities, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods to help protect where people live, work, and play. Last year, Flock technology supported over 1 million criminal investigations, helped solve approximately 20 percent of reported crimes in areas where it is deployed, and played a role in locating more than 10,000 missing people. We are a high-performance team united by urgency, ownership, and a shared commitment to meaningful impact. The work is fast-paced and the expectations are high. We push beyond perceived limits, support each other, and hold ourselves accountable to delivering results that matter. With over $1B in funding and an $8.3B valuation, we are scaling with intention and investing in the people who will help us build what others said could not be done. At Flock, you will find the opportunity to grow quickly, take on real responsibility, and contribute to something bigger than yourself. The Opportunity Flock Safety is looking for a Product Deployment Specialist to join our Product Deployment team. The Product Deployment team is composed of individuals who are results-driven, detail-oriented and combine a great work ethic with critical thinking to install products that delight our customers and drive our shift to be a multi-product company. A day in the life of this role might involve traveling to install pilot devices for a new product, providing feedback on new engineering hardware concepts, and working with the Device team to solve issues in the field. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of surveying, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge drone systems that support public safety agencies. You will support the technical aspects of DFR (Drone as First Responder) deployments, primarily focused on hardware installation, ensuring each project is executed smoothly and to Flock’s high standards. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external vendors to optimize our deployment processes and help scale the DFR program. The ideal candidate has experience as a technician in the field with a familiarity with product operations and has demonstrated excellent leadership skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Product Deployment Specialist should be action-oriented with strong field work and problem-solving skills. Required Availability : Work hours are M-F with occasional extended hours in order to meet project deadlines and customer expectations. Travel : 80 percent travel required. Expect to be on the road 3-4 days per week performing activities (e.g. installation, maintenance, testing) across the US. Key Responsibilities Support key field initiatives to bring products to market and scale our DFR program including hardware installation and troubleshooting of various components, including dock systems, aircraft, radar, and other technical elements within the DFR deployment ecosystem. Work effectively with diverse teams (engineering, project management, and third-party vendors) to ensure the successful execution of deployments. Monitor and document the status of work in the field and in the lab. Demonstrate proficiency with assembly, mounting, and troubleshooting of license-plate reading cameras, video cameras, and gunshot detection devices. Use a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30 feet high. Provide installation pictures via Flock field app. Perform work in a safe and professional manner. Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers. Install poles of varying lengths per install specifications with digging a minimum of 8 inches by 24 inches holes. The Skillset Prior experience with fieldwork required and product development is a plus: construction, security systems, low voltage wiring, or similar (e.g. test and termination of RJ45 connectors, troubleshooting 110V/220V hardware connections). Experience in a customer-facing technical role, offering on-site or remote technical support throughout the deployment lifecycle. Understanding of hardware troubleshooting, particularly with systems like drones, docking stations, radar, and other technology commonly used in DFR deployments. Knowledge of FAA Part 107: Solid understanding of FAA Part 107 regulations for drone operations, including safety protocols, airspace classifications, and regulatory compliance standards. Outstanding project management and communication (written, verbal) skills. Role requires the candidate to be 21 or older in order to rent a vehicle from preferred providers. Willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck and other heavy machinery (e.g. articulating manlifts, telehandler, etc.) as well as drive a Dodge Promaster 1500 or similar company vehicle. Comfortable working on and around ladders/heights. Desire to work outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditions. Associate and/or bachelor degree. Physical Activities Performed Frequently Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company motor vehicle standards. Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Frequently working in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Frequent medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally working in seasonal high and low temperatures. Occasionally working in noisy environments. Occasionally working in hazardous conditions: near highways or heavy traffic. Occasional heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more. 90 Days at Flock We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past.
