Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: State License required Certifications: ACLS BLS NRP PALS RRT Must-Have: Travelers must shave for mask fit testing. Travelers will not be permitted to use personal CAPRs or PAPRs. Travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotation. Description: The position requires providing patient care in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery. Experience in PICU or NICU is not necessary, but NRP and PALS certifications are essential for managing emergency situations. Candidates will serve a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Typical diagnoses include COPD, respiratory failure, CHF, post-open heart surgery, and asthma. Special procedures and unit details involve a 12-bed ICU and intensive patient monitoring. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Travelers are required to comply with all health and safety regulations. Candidates must be willing to work every third weekend. Preference may be given to those with previous charge experience. Experience with various respiratory equipment is preferred. All candidates must undergo a respirator clearance prior to employment.
